HOW TO MAINTEN THE DISEL ENGIN Dec 30, 2024
The maintenance of diesel engines is the key to ensuring its efficient operation and prolonging its service life. The following are some specific maintenance measures:   I. Change the filter and oil regularly   Filters and filters: Filters and filters are the "respiration system" of diesel engines, which are responsible for filtering air and fuel. Regular replacement of air filters, fuel filters and oil filters can effectively prevent impurities from entering the engine and reduce wear and failure.   Oil: Oil plays the role of lubricating, cooling and cleaning in the engine. According to the usage and the manufacturer's advice, the oil and oil filter should be replaced regularly to maintain good lubrication of the engine.   II. Maintain the battery and charging system   Battery inspection: Check the electrolyte level of the battery regularly to ensure that the battery can be charged and discharged normally.   Charging system maintenance: Maintain the charging system to ensure that the generator car can be started reliably in various environments.   III. Adjust and maintain the fuel injector   Fuel injection nozzle cleaning: Clean the fuel injection nozzle regularly to prevent carbon accumulation and blockage, and improve fuel utilization and engine performance.   Fuel injector adjustment: According to the manufacturer's recommendation, regularly adjust the injection pressure and injection angle of the fuel injector to ensure the full combustion of fuel.   IV. Check the transmission belt and timing belt   Drive belt inspection: Check whether the multi-wedge belt is worn or damaged, and replace it in time if necessary.   Time belt maintenance: The safety of the engine time belt cannot be ignored. Once cracks or signs of damage are found, it should be replaced immediately.   V. Check the fastening parts and connection points   Fastening bolts: Check the oil plate bolts, adjustment bolts of various parts and other fastening parts to ensure their fastening state and prevent leakage caused by loosening.   Connection point inspection: Check the fuel system, braking system and other connection points to ensure that they are stable and wear-free.   VI. Use high-quality diesel and engine oil   Diesel selection: use high-quality diesel that meets the manufacturer's recommendation, and avoid using diesel containing impurities or moisture.   Oil selection: Choose the oil brand and specifications suitable for the engine to reduce engine wear and failure.   VII. Grinding and correct use   Grinding: The new car or overhauled engine needs to be run-in according to the regulations to extend the service life.   Correct use: Make sure that the lubricating parts such as shaft tiles are lubricated before starting, and wait for the water temperature to reach the appropriate temperature after starting. Avoid overloading or low-speed operation for a long time, and unload the load to reduce the speed before stopping.   VIII. Regular maintenance and professional repair   Regular maintenance: Carry out regular maintenance according to the manufacturer's maintenance manual, including replacing filters and oil, checking the transmission belt, etc.
